Times Square, NY: A Muslim Saved Lives, But You Won’t Hear It On US Media
WASHINGTON, D.C.—One Muslim tried to bomb Times Square. But another Muslim, from Senegal, is the hero who averted a disaster by his quick action. Isn’t that news? It is. But you won’t hear it in the US media because the organized demonization campaign by vested interests in Washington seeks to convince US public opinion that Washington should launch and expand a war inside Pakistan.

Remember how US was desperate for visas and US media leaks decried ‘harassment’ from Pakistan? Our government capitulated as usual and that’s how tens and probably hundreds of CIA ‘analysts’ entered Pakistan recently. Blackwater’s twin sister DynCorp is also here, precisely 9 kilometers away from Pakistan’s most important nuclear buildings. The new F-16s coming to Pakistan will come with US ‘supervisors’ who will ensure we don’t ‘misuse’ the planes. Who in Islamabad is playing this cruel joke with our nation?
An independent South Africa water expert who worked in New Delhi is surprised to see the Indian media systematically ridicule Pakistani water concerns. He was even more surprised to see the media in Pakistan, a country often derided for having military governments, provide full coverage to Indian views on Pakistan’s water crisis while Indians fail to show a similar magnanimity.
By allowing foreign militaries a free reign in our tribal belt to kill hundreds of innocent Pakistanis, Pakistan is committing the same mistake as Putin’s, who initially did well a decade ago by crushing the rebellion in Chechnya but now is creating more rebels because of highhandedness.
Ahmed Quraishi got the last word on Aljazeeras Inside Story to calmly mention some facts about what the ‘other India’ is doing in Afghanistan, in a show where a former director of Indian Military Intelligence and an American think-tank type from Washington spent time demonizing Pakistan. Aljazeera’s anchor Imran Jardah was neutral. He admitted the [...]
Pictures show cool and calm assassins. These are not mountain terrorists but cold blooded, well trained killers.
A retired officer of the Pakistani military who has seen the original photographs within hours of the assassination has no doubt of linkages to foreign killers and their Pakistani accomplices inside Pakistan. The killers were both Pakistanis and foreigners.

Have you heard about Allama Iqbal Faculty at Kabul University? Sir Syed Science Faculty Block at Nangarhar University? Liaqat Ali Khan Engineering Faculty at Balkh University? Rehman Baba High School in Kabul? And the sprawling ten-tower Jinnah Hospital Complex in Kabul and the Nishtar Kidney Hospital in Jalalabad? Disinformation is part of the foreign occupation in Afghanistan, and hiding Pakistan’s contributions to Afghanistan are part of it. But for over three decades, Pakistan has directly and indirectly spent billions of dollars on three million Afghan refugees and provide them jobs, housing, healthcare and education. Today, the most productive workforce in Afghanistan is Pakistan-trained.
This American woman tried to sneak into Pakistan through Torkham on Afghan border on Mar. 13, 2010. She was wearing an Afghan woman burqa and apparently spoke local dialects. Strangely, Pakistani border guards shielded her from Pakistani intelligence officers, received a handsome bribe from her and let her enter Pakistan with her burqa and fake [...]
Blackwater USA is looking for mercenaries fluent in Urdu, Pakistan’s national language, and Punjabi, the language spoken by natives of Pakistan’s largest populated province. The US military already deploys officers and commando units manned by people fluent in Pashto, spoken in most of western Pakistan and southern Afghanistan. Keeping in view the denials of the US embassy in Islamabad and the expanding American presence on Pakistani soil, these recruitments are obviously not meant for running call centers. Since Washington has unilaterally decided that Pakistan is now a ‘war theater’ after Iraq and Afghanistan, it is only natural that American terrorism will also be unleashed in Pakistan. Blackwater is in Pakistan.

The truth is that the three murdered Pakistani Baloch politicians had become a political liability and a security risk for Brahamdagh Bugti and a threat to his entire infrastructure of terror inside Pakistan. The three had developed a good working relationship with Pakistani security officials during hostage negotiations. Brahamdagh and his handlers knew that the three were in direct contact with Pakistani security officials and could compromise the security of the terrorist activity and the routes of secret funding from across the border and the terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan. The inside story of five days that changed Balochistan, a story of deception, intrigue and espionage.
Ever wonder why American drones attacking Pakistan from Afghanistan are operated by CIA and not the U.S. military? Because the game has reached a dead end. CIA assets and agents inside Pakistani territory, like Baitullah Mehsud, have been beaten by the Pakistani military and are on the retreat, begging for a ceasefire. Seeing its assets vanish, CIA is flying drones to eliminate tribal leaders loyal to Pakistan. Our Foreign Office has admitted for the first time that Pak-American ties are at their worst. The U.S. war against Pakistan has already been launched, without declaration.
[This is an op-ed that Times of India solicited after the tragic attacks on Indian railway stations in Mumbai on July 11, 2007 and then declined publication]
Thanks to a few insensitive and hawkish Indian voices, the meticulous work of three years of people-to-people contacts between the two nations is in the process of being systematically [...]
