Pakistanis hope the move marks the first step in bringing to justice CIA officials and their Pakistani collaborators in the murder of thousands of innocent Pakistanis. Jonathan Banks is bunkered inside the fortified US embassy building but lawyers believe he is not covered by military or diplomatic protection.
“CIA officials are not part of United States armed forces, therefore under international law they are civilians directly participating in hostilities. Not holding diplomatic or military status, CIA officials have no immunity and therefore are liable for murder and damages under the laws of Pakistan and the principles of natural justice throughout the world.”

Who should be held responsible: retired General Pervez Musharraf, President Asif Ali Zardari or COAS Gen. Ashfaque Parvez Kayani? They can’t shun their responsibility for the rise in CIA drone attacks in Pakistan in the past three years and someone will have to become answerable in front of the Pakistani nation.

Was the green light given to CIA during the last round? Can our Foreign Minister Qureshi tell us if President Zardari gave the green light for CIA to kill innocent Paksitanis? Who in Islamabad is responsible for the deaths of innocent and patriotic Pakistanis in our tribal belt?

Ahmed Quraishi on Russia Today television explains how CIA has been using third-country intelligence services to violate Pakistani sovereignty and conduct operations inside Pakistan. So the story about a 3,000-strong secret army made up of Afghans and run by CIA conducting operations inside Pakistan is alarming but comes as no surprise.

Why half a million Mehsuds were turned into refugees in their own country? Why the Wazirs were stopped from selling their fruits in the markets of their own country? Do we need to keep on killing and destroying our own people in the pursuit of this unending and unwinnable war?

By allowing foreign militaries a free reign in our tribal belt to kill hundreds of innocent Pakistanis, Pakistan is committing the same mistake as Putin’s, who initially did well a decade ago by crushing the rebellion in Chechnya but now is creating more rebels because of highhandedness.
Ever wonder why American drones attacking Pakistan from Afghanistan are operated by CIA and not the U.S. military? Because the game has reached a dead end. CIA assets and agents inside Pakistani territory, like Baitullah Mehsud, have been beaten by the Pakistani military and are on the retreat, begging for a ceasefire. Seeing its assets vanish, CIA is flying drones to eliminate tribal leaders loyal to Pakistan. Our Foreign Office has admitted for the first time that Pak-American ties are at their worst. The U.S. war against Pakistan has already been launched, without declaration.
